Hiya, I’m Nadia
It’s taken me years to work out what I should be doing with my life. I started out as the world’s worst trainee accountant and got through jobs like new pairs of shoes. I knew there had to be more to life.

And you know what, it seemed I wasn’t alone. Loads of my friends wanted to change their lives - by finding their dream job, retraining, going on a big adventure, writing a book or started a cool new business.

The trouble was, we needed some motivation and support. There was nowhere we could go that would help us find out what we wanted to do with our lives and then help us make it happen, oh, and we wanted it to be fun too. It didn’t exist, and so, one night, in the pub, More To Life Than Shoes was born!

Hi, I’m Susie
I’ve always wanted to do my own thing - work for myself and create something I can really be proud of. Going on maternity leave from my job in marketing was my great chance to make that break I needed.

Having worked in a business environment I appreciated how refreshing it is to meet new people in a non-stuffy, relaxed and informal setting. It’s where ideas can be shared, contacts and friendships can be made and we can all help each other achieve great things. That’s why we’ve made our More To Life Than Shoes groups different. We’re inclusive – for all kinds of women doing all sorts of things. We don’t wear suits (I don’t even own one anymore) and we don’t do lots of formal business card swapping. We want people to feel comfortable and love being part of it.

Hello, I’m Em
I used to work in TV but I decided on a job change to give me more time to pursue a writing career. So, now I work in a second-hand bookshop, which I love, and spend the rest of my time writing and working on More to Life Than Shoes.

Since we started More to Life Than Shoes I’ve discovered a passion for design. I developed the branding for the company and designed the website.
